I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who completed my Master’s degree at John’s Hopkins University. I have been a practicing Clinical Counselor for 22 years and working in the mental health field for twenty-nine years. My practicum placement was at the Frost School, an alternative middle and high school for student with severe emotional and/or behavioral problems. Following graduation, I worked in private practice, specializing with children and families, the school system with children who had learning disabilities and in vocational rehabilitation settings assisting individuals with adjustment to disabilities and building on their strengths. For the past twelve years I have worked in healthcare management in inpatient psychiatric, day treatment and community mental health settings. My career focus has been: program development, quality/performance improvement, and accreditation and professional development while fostering an environment of transparency and ethical quality care. My role as a director is to mentor and support new professional while fostering strong professional ethics and clinical excellence.
