I am a bilingual psychologist licensed in both Clinical and School Psychologist with over 18 years of professional experience focus in bilingual children and families with special needs. I graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico. I obtained my Doctorate degree (Psy.D) with honors (Magna Cum Laude) from Carlos Albizu University in San Juan, Puerto Rico. During my postgraduate studies, I worked with an under-represented population in Puerto Rico with a variety of mental health problems including depression, anxiety, substance abuse and school related needs.

My undergraduate internship was at Northwestern University, South Florida Contortion Program where I assisted in the Broward County Mental Health court conducted forensic evaluations as well as competency evaluations. I also provided mental health therapy to court mandated clients. I completed my Post-Doctoral training at the Behavioral Health Department at Arlington County where I provided Mental Health therapy to multicultural population’s for 4 years.

For over the past 10 years I have been a school psychologist providing evaluation for the District of Columbia Public Schools, Early Stages Program, determining eligibility and educational planning programs for children with educational/medical disabilities age 2- 6. I consider myself to be an expert in IEP development, school-based special education services and interventions, neuro-developmental disabilities, and psychological evaluation of children. I have developed extensive experience/training with multicultural diverse children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), language delays, genetic/medical conditions and ADHD. At the same time, I’ve been providing services for Behavioral and Educational Solutions PC conducting school and court mandated evaluations.

Previously, I worked at the Behavioral Health Care Department at Arlington County for 4 years. I also worked as an Adjunct Professor for the University of Puerto Rico, undergrad program, and teaching doctoral level Psychopathology courses at Argosy University.

I am a fluent in English and Spanish and provide services in both languages. I am an avid traveler who enjoys experiencing other cultures, people and nature around the world.
